Girls at Geelong Lutheran College are not permitted to wear t-bar shoes with their school uniform. They wear striped white socks with their summer dress, and grey tights with their winter skirt.
Footwear needs to complement the uniform and allow students to safely participate in school ac vies. The following requirements need to be followed when purchasing new shoes to wear at Geelong Lutheran College.
School shoes need to lace up, able to be polished and enclosed beyond Year 4. No zipper or velcro shoes are permitted. T-Bar styles are permitted for girls up to the end of Year 4.
Girls at Parkdale Secondary College are not permitted to wear t-bar shoes with their school uniform. They wear white socks with their summer dress, and either white socks or navy tights with their winter skirt.
Standard black leather polishable lace-up school shoes (Runner style sports shoes, T-bar for girls, other styles of buckle up shoes, or slip on-dress shoes or platform shoes are not acceptable). Shoes must be done up. This is an OHS issue.

College Council introduced a new uniform in 2013. Students in year 8 to 10 have until the end of 2014 to purchase the new uniform (a mixture of old and new uniform cannot be worn). New uniform must follow the acceptable uniform guidelines.
Girls at Luther College Croydon are permitted to wear t-bar shoes with their school uniform. They wear white socks with their summer dress, and grey socks or tights with their winter skirt.
Plain black leather shoes of either the lace up or buckle T-bar style are to be worn. Shoes need to be fastened at all times. Suede shoes are not acceptable;
Plain white socks – long (must be pulled up) or calf length (must be pulled up);
Mid-calf grey socks (must be pulled up) or grey tights.

All school shoes should be polished on a regular basis and girls who wear “T Bar” style shoes must ensure that they are buckled securely at all times. This is a matter of occupational health and safety.
Girls at Avila College Mount Waverley are not permitted to wear t-bar shoes with their school uniform. But they look back longingly at the days there were allowed to, with the ‘Golden T-Bar Shoe’ being awarded annual to the winner of the Avila Day celebrations.
Term Four, 2011
Following the Avila Day Mass, students returned to their homerooms where they enthusiastically participated in a whole-school trivia competition. The brain-bending questions covered sport, music, movies, general knowledge, East Africa, ‘who am I’, and Avila. Year 11 Purple was triumphant and was awarded the ‘coveted’ golden T-Bar shoe.
Today girls at Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar School are not permitted to wear t-bar shoes with their school uniform. But this photo from a decade ago shows they were allowed to do so at some time in the past.
